Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Vaccines.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA) between you and Somerset Clinic Dubai. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the application.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on Vaccines.app. Users under the age of 16 may have their vaccination records managed by a parent or guardian through an adult's account.
3. Description of Service
Vaccines.app is a mobile application that provides vaccination information, country-specific vaccination schedules at the time of publishing, an AI-powered assistant, family vaccination tracking, and doctor consultation bookings. The app is available on iOS and Android platforms.
4. Medical Disclaimer
The information provided by Vaccines.app is for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or vaccination decisions. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay in seeking it, because of information obtained through this application.
5. Health Data
Vaccination records and family profile information (including date of birth and gender) are considered sensitive health data. We apply heightened security measures to this information, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI Assistant
The AI assistant feature uses a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach: responses are generated by trusted third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) using our curated medical knowledge base as context. This knowledge base is compiled and vetted by a licensed paediatric healthcare consultant, drawing on sources including the NHS, WHO, and CDC.
These responses are informational and should not be considered medical advice. The AI may produce inaccurate or incomplete information. Always verify critical information with a healthcare professional, especially before acting on any vaccination decision.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Vaccines.app offers a free plan with access to vaccine information and country schedules. Premium features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Monthly: $4.99/month
- Yearly: $49.99/year
- Free trial: 7 days
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions).
If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free plan.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
All payments made via the App Store or Google Play are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests for these are subject to the refund policy of the respective app store.
8. Doctor Consultations
The consultation feature lets you book appointments with qualified, licensed healthcare professionals to discuss vaccination queries, catch-up schedules, travel vaccines, and general immunisation concerns. Within the app, you can browse profiles of available healthcare professionals, including their names and licence numbers, and schedule a video or phone appointment.
Consultations are subject to practitioner availability and are billed separately from your subscription. Consultation payments are processed securely via Stripe, and appointments are scheduled and hosted through Cal.com or Google Meet.
Vaccines.app and Somerset Clinic Dubai act as a directory and booking portal for these consultations. Clinical records from a consultation are created and retained independently by the healthcare professional and are not stored within or linked to the Vaccines.app platform.
9. User Accounts and Data
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any data stored within the application. Family profiles and vaccination records are stored securely, encrypted at rest and in transit, on your device and on our servers.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the application settings. Once requested, your account and linked data are permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period, during which you may restore your account if you change your mind. If you have an active premium subscription, cancel it through your App Store or Google Play account settings before deleting your account to avoid further charges.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and functionality of Vaccines.app are the property of Somerset Clinic Dubai. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the application without prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
Vaccines.app and Somerset Clinic Dubai shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the application or its content.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the application. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
